  • The famous Shakespearean play “King Lear” was staged on 2nd June, 2017.
  • The famous Shakespearean play “Hamlet” was staged on 12th April, 2014.
  • The Dept of English Staged William Shakespeare’s famous tragedy “Macbeth” on 18th Apr., 2013.
  • Department of English organized a two days National Conference on “Role of Literature in Narrativizing the Margins” in the month of March, 2012.
  • The department started with its first batch of the Ph.D programme. Four scholars were allotted to the Campus department.
  • The department concluded with its first batch of three month certificate course in Communicative English in Sep., 2011.
  • Dept of English organized a two day workshop on Communicative English in Sept. 2011. The main speaker was Prof. David Harkins from the University of Tennessee, USA.
  • The department organized a two days National Seminar on Tara Smailpuri in collaboration with Sahitya Akademi New Delhi and the department of Dogri of the University of Jammu.
  • Dept of English organized a one day workshop on the topic ‘Page to Stage’ in Aug., 2010. The lectures were delivered by famous personalities from TV world.
